WHAT WE PUBLISH

The Ogham Stone Spring 2017 issue is now accepting submissions of unpublished work from both Irish and international writers and artists. We will consider fiction, creative non-fiction, memoir, poetry, short graphic novels, visual arts and photography. All submissions must be made by 5pm on Sunday, 29 August 2016.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All words submitted should be contained within a Microsoft Word document, double-spaced and typed in 12 point font (Times New Roman).
  • All submissions must be emailed to oghamstoneul@gmail.com.
  • Individuals may submit up to 3 pieces, in any category or cross-category.
  • Prose must not exceed 2,000 words in length. Short graphic novels in double page spread format.
  • Poetry should be submitted the way in which you wish it to appear on the page and no longer than 50 lines.
  • We cannot accept work that has been previously published (including on personal blogs) and prefer not to receive work currently being reviewed elsewhere.
  • If you wish to withdraw a submission for any reason please notify us by email prior to the deadline.

Visuals:

  • All submissions must be emailed to oghamstoneul@gmail.com.
  •  All images must be sent as .jpg or .png files.
  • Editors will not make any major changes to photography, but may have to brighten an image to enhance features on a printed page.
  • If work is chosen, we require high resolution files. We cannot print anything under 300dpi.
  • We cannot accept work that has been previously published (including on personal blogs) and prefer not to receive work currently being reviewed elsewhere.
  • If you wish to withdraw a submission for any reason please notify us by email prior to the deadline.

 

When submitting please include the following information: 

  • Author/artist’s full name (to be used in publication)
  • Name of piece(s)
  • Email address
  • A biography of up to 150 words.

 

Due to limited funding, The Ogham Stone cannot offer monetary payment to authors and artists who are accepted for publication.
